The international Rush Soccer Select Program’s event called the HUB is here! Rush Soccer is proud to announce the 2006 age-group regional Boys and Girls teams. The 2008 and 2007 teams were announced earlier this week ahead of all the action kicking off next week.

For the first time ever, Rush Soccer’s elite Select Program is hosting the innovative multi-region soccer showcase. The four-day event in St. Louis will host most elite 2007 boys and girls players across Rush Soccer, representing the Northeast, South, Midwest and West regions from November 19-22.

Each region will play each other, classified by age and gender, and the top two regions will face off on Championship Sunday. Coaches and players will not only develop and compete, but will take part in the Rush Way featuring the fundamental Rush Core Values with an understanding of exactly what it means to be a part of the largest youth soccer organization in the world.

“As the oldest Rush Select age group to participate at the Rush Soccer Select Hub, the 2006 boys and girls regional teams are approaching some of the most important moments of their lives, such as their college selection and beyond” said Rush Soccer’s Select Program Director, Justin Miller. “These players have faced and risen to every challenge throughout this year and received nominations from their coaches and Technical Directors to be a part of the elite Rush Soccer Select teams. We cannot wait to see what next week in St. Louis holds for everyone involved.”

Players participating at the Rush Soccer Select Hub will be evaluated by the national Rush Soccer staff and have the opportunity to be identified for higher level playing opportunities.

With a new format and timing, the 2020 Rush Select Hub is this year’s only opportunity for Rush’s most elite players to experience a competition that has produced current professional alumni like Lindsey Horan (USWNT, Portland Thorns, Colorado Rush), Cole Bassett (USMNT U20, Colorado Rapids, Colorado Rush), Shandon Hopeau (Seattle Sounders, Hawai’i Rush), and Paolo Del Piccolo (Louisville City FC, Colorado Rush).

Three clubs — Colorado Rush, Virginia Rush and Pikes Peak Rush — formed the first Select Team in 2004. The Rush 1986/87 Boys Under-17 team eventually won the U.S. Club Soccer National Tournament and after winning their Regional Tournament. In the subsequent 16 years Rush Soccer has cemented a reputation for developing elite youth players through a distinct pathway to the heights of competition with more than 100 partner clubs and a nationwide membership of more than 45,000 players. Rush Soccer is represented by a member club in almost every state and more than 40 International including in Africa, North and South America, Asia and Europe.
