Welcome, Rush Coach, to the Rush Soccer Blog!

RUSH-COACH-BLOG

We are super excited to announce this new Coaching Education Initiative.

We created this space for all of us coaches who work passionately every day to get the best out of our players while supporting Rush’s dream of becoming one of the top 100 clubs in the world.

How can we better face such a challenge than by learning from each other and growing together?

This blog is a space for you, for us, to share what we’ve learned over the years from books, newspapers, courses, on the field experience, and also what we’ve learned by ourselves, just by thinking and analyzing the beautiful game.

Pablo Toledo, Rush Soccer’s Executive Assistant and member of the Coaching Education Department led this initiative:

“This project came out of a random conversation with the CO Rush coaches. We were saying that Soccer is as much of a science as it is an art, so two completely opposite opinions can (both) be right, and when we intake both viewpoints we do nothing but win as we wrestle with new ideas and acquire further knowledge. That’s what I wanted, a conversational platform. I thought, ‘Wow, we have thousands of coaches in Rush; if we just shared ideas we could learn so much from each other!’ I didn’t want any obstacle there... you don’t have to be Hemingway to share; the ‘sharing’ is simply what really matters”.

And that’s what we did and the blog was born….

Please feel encouraged to share your ideas on this blog! There are no restrictions. Not everything that we say has to be scientifically proven. Write in English, Spanish, French, or your preferred language.

In fact, you don’t need to write if you don’t like writing...

Make a video alone or with a group, film yourself explaining something on a whiteboard, use a voice recording app, or an app like “Speechnotes” that you can download for free, talk to it and have it write for you, and then just send it over to [email protected]

Subscribe to the blog by going to the bottom of the page and adding your email address.

Easy as that. If you do so, every time an article is published you will receive an automatic notification to alert you of the new content. Cool, right?!

Learning from others while sharing what we know is the only motivation for this blog. It’s a privilege we have for coaching in such an amazing club, and we hope you enjoy taking part!

Thanks for sharing! Go Rush!
