The National Cup XI Midwest Regional was held in Chicago for the third consecutive year. Michigan Rush Select 00B, comprising of players from Rush Northville, Jackson and Downriver competed against FC Sockers (IL), FC Drive (IL) and EP United (MN). The boys posted wins in all three games, scoring 10 goals and conceding only 2. A great reward for the boys hardwork in training with both with their home Rush team and Michigan Rush Select.

01G Michigan Rush Select compete for US Club Regional Championship

The '01 Michigan Rush Select Girls followed up their championship performance in the TFA United Cup with a Runner-up performance at the US Club Soccer Midwest Regional just outside of Chicago, Illinois on June 29 and 30.   The team played in the U11 Premier division. The team started out strong with victories over Sockers Allstars and Minnesota Thunder Elite; 5-0 and 3-0 respectively.   The next game pitted the girls against a very good Eclipse Select team for a 2-1 loss. This created a three way tie in the division, which thanks to the low number of goals against for the tie-breaker, allowed Michigan Rush Select to move on to the championship game. In this game the girls faced a high quality team from the Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC) ending in 5-2 loss. Overall, the girls had a great experience and were able to face some very good teams from multiple states; all while playing some good soccer.
